Q. How the electricity is produced by using solar energy?

Question by Eagle E: Q. How the electricity is produced by using solar energy?
Please describe in details how do the whole mechanisms work? How it is developed? What apparatus is required? How the solar panel is constructed and how it works? Explain me all questions by using 3d figures or images or video if available. I have no prior knowledge about solar electricity so; please guide me in the easiest way as much as possible; I want to make electricity for my home by using solar energy what should I do? How can I achieve or construct it myself?

When certain semiconducting materials, such as certain kinds of silicon, are exposed to sunlight, they release small amounts of electricity. This process is known as the photoelectric effect. The photoelectric effect refers to the emission, or ejection, of electrons from the surface of a metal in response to light. It is the basic physical process in which a solar electric or photovoltaic (PV) cell converts sunlight to electricity.

Sunlight is made up of photons, or particles of solar energy. Photons contain various amounts of energy, corresponding to the different wavelengths of the solar spectrum. When photons strike a PV cell, they may be reflected or absorbed, or they may pass right through. Only the absorbed photons generate electricity. When this happens, the energy of the photon is transferred to an electron in an atom of the PV cell (which is actually a semiconductor).

With its newfound energy, the electron escapes from its normal position in an atom of the semiconductor material and becomes part of the current in an electrical circuit. By leaving its position, the electron causes a hole to form. Special electrical properties of the PV cell—a built-in electric field—provide the voltage needed to drive the current through an external load (such as a light bulb).

Solar portable power station – Camping/Festivals

My new project and first HD video. Tried to record in 1080 with my new camera but for unknown reasons it would not save the files, so 720p will need to do. I have built this portable power system to give me power when camping and at festivals. The systems available in shops seem to peak at 40Ah without spending silly amounts of money and so I built this 70Ah system which can take input from a solar panel up to 100w (though I plan to use a 20w panel due to price and size limits when camping) and will happily run a beer fridge, lighting and charge my mobile phone in the middle of nowhere. Key specs: * 3 x 12v 12Ah sealed lead acid batteries * 1 x 12v 34Ah standard car battery * 10 AWG wiring * All wiring is crimped, soldered and heat shrunk for longevity * 1 x high power output socket + 3 x low power output sockets (fused) * 1 x auxiliary input/output set of posts (un-fused)

Go to http to find out more! Video transcription starts here: ## There are many good reasons for investing in solar PV. Here are just a few to consider before making that all important decision. Make your electricity company work for you. Get tax free and index linked payments of up to forty three point three pence for every unit of PV electricity you generate plus a further three point one pence per unit for the electricity you don’t use by exporting it back to the grid. To date, no other renewable energy system provides this level of instant financial reward. The initial financial return on your initial investment will be substantial and long term. Your PV system should earn you the equivalent of over ten percent gross return on your investment every year for twenty five years. Generating your own electricity will deliver big savings on your household electricity bills, the value of those savings is index linked directly to energy price inflation. Energy prices in the UK have doubled over the last six years, and as the Energy Saving Trust points out, switching to self generation of electricity through solar PV will ultimately see you locking into today’s electricity prices for the future. As well as having been paid by your electricity company for
